This collaboration provides a unique platform for students to gain real-world insights and make meaningful connections within the tech industry by hosting business school students on immersive visits.
We had the opportunity to speak with Tanvi Singh, Partner Experience Manager at Atlassian, to delve deeper into our collaboration and her experience hosting student groups.
The collaboration between Austral Group and Atlassian began with a simple LinkedIn message. Our program manager from Austral Group reached out to Tanvi, sparking a conversation that leveraged existing connections within Atlassian. “It was just a common connection,” Tanvi recalls. This initial outreach paved the way for a seamless partnership, built on mutual understanding and a shared commitment to student development.
For the students who visit Atlassian, the experience is both enlightening and inspiring. Tanvi emphasizes the importance of dialogue over presentation, allowing students to engage directly with industry professionals. During their visits, students participate in discussions led by Tanvi and other panelists, exploring diverse career paths and networking strategies. The students, eager to embark on their careers in tech, resonate with the non-traditional journeys shared by Atlassian’s team. “They were very keen to understand how they can break into the market,” Tanvi notes.
